Astronomy in ancient China originated very early in history, so it is impossible that it was introduced from the west later. The origin of astronomy in China was closely tied to the origin of the Chinese civilization. Exchanges in astronomy between China and other countries began from ancient times. The eastward spreading of Buddhism, the expansion of the Mongolian Empire, and the full-scale invasion of Western astronomy from Late Ming Dynasty to Early Qing Dynasty have all influenced the development of astronomy in China.
