Nong Zheng Quan Shu (《农政全书》) had almost all the characteristics of agricultural works. Nong Zheng Quan Shu is not only an official agricultural book, but also a private work at the same time. It represented the highest level of traditional Chinese agriculture, and it could even be considered an embodiment of traditional Chinese agriculture. Its author Xu Guangqi was one of the greatest scientists in ancient China and a pioneer of cultural exchanges between China and the West.
