The Museum of Astronomical Instruments (MuSA) at the Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte in Naples has a large collection of telescopes, clocks, globes, baromethers, paintings and many other instruments. They are the heritage of more than two hundred years of astronomical and meteorological observations made in Naples. Among over 140 instruments the MuSA exhibits a interesting collection of telescopes and optical devices realized by the Merz laboratory. This article describes all the Merz instruments and their use in the astronomical observations.
